Superior

There aren’t a lot of places sitting around anymore that feel wild. Maybe it’s the seemingly constant sound of an interstate behind or the fact that you can get just about anywhere you need to by driving a car down a paved road or something entirely different––I’m not quite sure. Regardless of the end muse of such a debate Ontario and Michigan’s coast surrounding Lake Superior are taking up a refreshing lot of that ‘wild’ floor space. Lake Superior Provincial Park boasts 600 square miles of wilderness blanketing a small portion of the lake and has a handful of panoramic views looking across big blue.

We hadn’t quite stopped for lunch but we had stopped for the view and spent a few seconds singing the Doxology atop a k-feldspar dominated granite outcrop. Praising the true rock with our feet on a rock––nice.
